UN EVERYTHING – A showcase of the unfinished, the incomplete, and the unruly

The exhibition invites a different kind of artistic attention: one that listens to the unfinished, the incomplete, and the unruly in human experience.
With installations, performances, algorithmic interventions, handmade machines, AI distortions, and interactive systems, the works open up a space where the desire for digital certainty meets human vulnerability. They prove that breaks, delays, and misunderstandings create new resonance in our relationships with one another.

Artists in the exhibition:

ELENA PEREIRA / SAGARIKA SUNDARAM / ANDREAS ULLRICH / LUCIE FREYNHAGEN / ADVIKA GURU / CONVIVIAL COMMONS GROUP / VINEESH AMIN / M.K ABHILASH / ZALMAN FARIZY / MAHISHAA

with performances by:

DAYITA NEREYETH / KALDI MOSS / VINEESH AMIN / MARCEL KIESLICH / AMYTH VENKATARAMAIAH / ABHAYDEV PRAFUL / JOSHUA SAILO / DJ SCRIBE

An experimental short film program by FILMFEST Dresden entitled “Remains of the past and the future” will be shown within the exhibition.

FILMFEST DRESDEN was founded in 1989, shortly before the political change in East Germany, and is dedicated to short films in all their forms. Today, it is considered one of the most important short film festivals in Germany. With prize money totaling over €70,000, it is one of the most lucrative short film festivals in Europe.

From its beginnings as an independent initiative presenting international works under restrictive conditions, the festival has developed into a firmly established international platform for short films. FILMFEST DRESDEN presents an international competition, a national competition, and a Central German competition, reflecting the festival’s strong commitment to global and regional film culture.
