a bird flies, a stone is thrown will be presented as a collateral exhibition, running parallel to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2025–26. Opening on 10 January 2026, this moving-image installation unfolds as a series of living tableaux in which performers shift between the roles of witness, victim, and perpetrator. Through these fluid positions, the work reflects on fragility, vulnerability, and forms of quiet resistance that persist across histories and lived experiences.
