Forplay Society is not a venue. It is a rehearsal for another way of being together.
It is a space in flux—where the act of gathering is as important as what is made.
We are not here to entertain, but to hold space for questions. Our interest lies not in perfection, but in presence—in the texture of being together, in all its silence, contradiction, awkwardness, and disagreement. We understand play not as escape, but as a method: a way to inquire, to resist, and to transform. We resist the pressure to produce something “worth watching” instead of something worth feeling. Forplay Society is an invitation—not to consume, but to contribute; not to arrive polished, but to arrive willing. It is a space built not by reputation, but by participation. This is not the end result. It is where we begin.
it’s a means to gather, to process and to make sense of our world together to co-create a culture that centers generosity, collaboration, curiosity and mutual care.
Forplay Society is a space for collective creation, shared exploration, and mutual vulnerability. We reject rigid boundaries between artist and audience, expert and amateur. Everyone who enters this space is a contributor. We value process over product, embracing the unfinished, the experimental, and the in-progress as vital expressions of artistic life. We are committed to accessibility and openness—not just in who is allowed to enter, but in how we share knowledge, tools, stories, and experiences. We believe cultural spaces should not be reserved for the privileged few, but open. We invite you not just to attend, but to contribute, collaborate, challenge and change.
This is a space we make together.
